Option 1: Write a 4-6 sentence paragraph:
Mention at least three factors why people like George and
Lennie and the other characters (or Okies) can become homeless. Do you believe it this their fault they
are homeless? Explain Why or why not?
Option 2: Compare and contrast reasons why people from
Lennie and George’s time were homeless to why and how people are homeless
today. Explain why you think they
are different or the same. You may
use a Venn diagram to organize your ideas.
Option 3: Draw two squares on a sheet of paper. Title one square America 1930’s and the
other America’s 2010’s. Show example of how people are homeless now vs then.
What is different and what has not changed or is the same.
