HW Mr. Padilla 10-16-15

Dear Parent/Guardians,

Please assist your child with today's HW. Your child must chose 1 of 3 options below. Feel free to read passage together and discuss questions together. You may contact me with questions at: rpadilla@schools.nyc.gov

Topic:  How can people be lonely even when they’re around other people?

Option 1:
Write  song lyrics or a poem about the theme of loneliness in Of Mice and Men.  What does it mean to be lonely? Can a person be lonely if they have family and friends? Who is lonely in the story? Do you agree that people who have many friends can still be lonely? Explain

Option 2:
The topics for this week were: Friendship, Being marginalized, Unions and Loneliness.  Now it is time to put everything together.  You can write a poem/song/essay or draw a poster that puts all these parts together.  For example, if you write a song/poem you can mix up the topics. If you write an essay you can discuss what your learned. If you draw you can create a collage.

Option 3: Draw a cover to a music album named Loneliness. Come up with a name for your artist. When you draw the cover think about the topic we studied.  The details of the drawing should show what you learned about the topic.
