Please assist your child with today's HW. Your child must chose 1 of 3 options below. Feel free to read passage together and discuss questions together. You may contact me with questions at: rpadilla@schools.nyc.gov 

Topic: How do you know you have a real friend?

Option 1:

Write a poem or a song about friendship.  To help you write, think about a real experience but instead of using the real names use George , Lennie, Curly, etc. To help you come up with ideas think about these questions discussed in class: What is friendship? What is a friend? What does a friend do? What does a friend not do? What can a friend expect from you and you from a friend?

Option 2:

Draw a poster that shows examples about friendship. Use Lennie and George as the characters of your poster.  Draw images that represent things that friends do for each other.

Option 3: Compare Lennie and George’s friendship to a friendship that you have had. For example, have you ever had a friend that you knew you could always count on?  Or a friendship where you each watched each other’s backs?  How was this friendhip similar and different to Goerge and Lennie?

Sí, así que me sirve una bebida de Tolstoi y dejo que pensar mucho acerca de la verdadera definición de las familias infelices. (27,11-27,12)

Arnold experimenta muchas pérdidas: su abuela, el mejor amigo de su padre Eugene, y su hermana. Como todas estas muertes están relacionadas con el alcohol.
