“I like to Live in America” is one of the many songs in West Side Story. In this song there are 2 people singing. The 2 people, Anita and Rosalia disagree about whether or not it life is better in America.

Option 1: Base response on today’s reading.

Describe Rosalia’s feelings on living in America and living and Puerto Rico. Which one does she prefer and why?

Describe Anatia’s feelings on living in America and living and Puerto Rico. Which one does she prefer and why?

Do you agree with Anita’s view on living in America? Explain why or why not?
