HW Mr. Padilla 6-16-15

Read the passage below and choose a task option below:
And when you look at the sky you know you are looking at stars which are hundreds …. of light-years away from you. And some of the stars don’t even exist anymore because their light has taken so long to get to us that they are already dead, or they have exploded and collapsed … And that makes you seem very small, … it is nice to think that they are what is called negligible, which means they are so small you don’t have to take them into account when you are calculating something.”
Option 1: Christopher is fascinated by science and math.  When he speaks he connect science and math often to express other ideas.  Name a subject or topic that you enjoy a lot.  Why do you enjoy this topic? How does the topic/ subject make you feel? Have you ever used your favorite subject as an example to explain something complicated/ Explain.

Option 2: You are an artist. You love to draw.  Create a drawing that captures Christopher’s quote. Make sure to write one sentence explaining what you draw.

Option 3:  How would you connect this month’s theme: Insensitivities of the Universe to this reading passage?  Make sure to include examples from the reading and previous knowledge.
